The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is calling for interested applicants to apply for cooperative master’s degree programme to be offered by the continental body in Kigali, Rwanda.
The programme aims to empower the students to build up the fundamental expert abilities in order to solve real-life problems. The 18 months programme will incorporate two attachments of three and four months’ work placements, upon which its completion will pave the way to graduation.
According to the AIMS portal, the programme is structured explicitly for students who work in the areas of big data and IT security. To be eligible candidates must possess a four years college degree in mathematics and science or in an engineering subject or anticipate clearing the course by the beginning date of the AIMS course.
Candidates ought to demonstrate a keen interest in mathematics, leadership and community service, and female applicants are highly encouraged to apply.
Potential candidates must also demonstrate the capacity to finish the course effectively and on time. There will be no course expenses for successful candidates for the bursaries will cover tuition, accommodation, meals, and travel costs.
The application deadline is 31 March.
