Apply for AIMS Future of Science Conference Fellowship

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is accepting applications to attend its “Future of Science,” conference which will take place on 7 to 9h July 2019 at its campus in Kigali, Rwanda.

The conference is aimed at bringing together top researchers from around the world to interact with postgraduate students and young researchers from Africa in a very informal and interactive setting.

Among tasks incorporated in the programme include talks on selected promising areas of research at a non-specialist level that a post-Masters level student in the sciences or mathematics would be able to follow.

The topics will include fundamental physics, cosmology, machine learning, and selected areas of applied and pure mathematics, the organization’s portal says.

Participants will not be charged registration fee and meals will be provided. Limited financial support will be available for accommodation and travel to Rwanda for young researchers from across the continent.

The last day for applications is 7 May 2019.
