Deadline Extended for Conference of Rectors, Vice-Chancellors, and Presidents of African Universities (COREVIP) Call for Papers

The Association of African Universities (AAU) is calling for papers from Researchers and all other higher education stakeholders, in line with the 22nd Edition of its Conference of Rectors, Vice-Chancellors, and Presidents of African Universities (COREVIP) holding from  4th - 7th of July 2023 in Windhoek-Namibia.

The deadline for submission of abstracts has been extended to 25th February, 2023 and interested individuals are invited to submit an abstract, of not more than 500 words. Upon submitting, contributors will receive a reply via the email they provided. After reviewing abstracts, those selected will be informed of the outcome within three weeks of the deadline and asked to submit a full paper for further evaluation.

It's important to note that invited submissions will go through a blind review process, and being invited to submit a full paper does not guarantee acceptance for publication. Instructions for submission will be included in the invitation for the full paper.

The conference themed Advancing Excellence in African Higher Education is an assembly of the Chief Executive Officers of AAU member institutions or their representatives and is held once every two years with the purpose of: collectively examining themes identified as common concerns and priorities for the development of higher education in member institutions and Africa in general,

making recommendations primarily to members, as well as to the Governing Board of the Association, and to the Secretariat, and acting as a mid-term forum for taking stock of the implementation of the decisions of the previous AAU General Conference and recommending corrective actions.

The conference is expected to attract a large number of attendees, including over 1500 participants. These attendees will include leaders of AAU member institutions, prominent African scholars, representatives from student organizations, and representatives from sub-regional, regional, and international organizations. Additionally, members from organizations that partner with the AAU in improving higher education in Africa, as well as Ministers of Higher Education and other higher education policy experts will also be present at the conference.
