Eduardo Mondlane University Joins ARUA as Associate Member, Enhancing African Research Collaboration



The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) has proudly welcomed Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in Mozambique as its latest associate member. This momentous decision was reached unanimously during the recent ARUA Executive Committee meeting held in Accra.

This associate membership status is set to take effect for a three-year term. Like full members, associate members are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the network's activities, contributing to the goals of the Centers of Excellence. They are also encouraged to play a central role in the advancement and restructuring of graduate and research programs throughout the African region.

Professor Ernest Aryeetey, the Secretary-General of ARUA, conveyed a heartfelt message of congratulations to UEM, expressing his anticipation of the university's valuable contributions to the organization's initiatives. UEM's participation is expected to elevate research development not only within member universities but across the entire African continent.
