National Institute Of Health (NIH) to offer free virtual seminar for grant seekers and research administrators

The National Institute of Health has organized a virtual workshop with the theme: Empowering the Research Workforce to Fuel Scientific Discovery. The seminar is designed for administrators, researchers, early-stage investigators, graduate students, or anyone new to working with the NIH grants process. The seminar will take place virtually from Monday, November 1 - Thursday, November 4.

The aim of the Seminar is to offer participants an opportunity to gain a better perspective of NIH policies and programs, network with their peers and gather helpful NIH contacts, so that they may return to their offices and/or labs with useful information, resources, and tools to assist in obtaining and managing NIH awards.

It will come packed with amazing benefits including a ocmprehensive agenda where one can Choose from over 50 live Zoom sessions and on-demand videos over the course of four days. There shall be an extensive NIH presence where one shall get guidance directly from 100+ HHS and NIH staff during the sessions, and even more during the optional 1:1 Meet the Expert chats that will be available. NIH also shall offer an amazing  Institute/Center Resources; visit staff and gather resources at 45+ NIH booths located in the “Meet the Experts Exhibit Hall”.

Participants can also expect to get Worldwide Exposure whereby you Learn along with thousands of other participants from around the world and utilize matchmaking features to create potential connections. Registration for the event is free.

In case you’re looking for anything specific, the seminar provides three auditoriums on a variety of topics. Topics include the fundamentals, peer review process, budgets, grant writing, research integrity, compliance, human and animal subjects in research, pre-award and post-award issues, and so much more. Participats are free to move around the auditorium to attend the sessions as they please and recordings will be available, so you won’t miss out on anything!

There shall also be special after-hour conversations concluding each day of the seminar. We invite attendees to engage with our special panels on some important topics of interest to the research community.
