Technical University of Mombasa to hold 2nd Multidisciplinary Conference and Innovation Week

Kenya’s  Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) will host its 2nd Multidisciplinary Conference and Innovation Week from 23rd to 27th March 2020.

The conference will offer a forum for academics and researchers to showcase research processes and methodologies that are aligned to the conference theme. It will also provide an opportunity for practitioners and innovators to demonstrate how their innovations are changing the society and the world at large.

For the opportunity to present at the conference and exhibition, delegates can submit present their work in form of Research Papers or Posters, Demos/ Exhibitions, which will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on theory craftsmanship and analytical rigour. The dates for submission will be communicated in due course.

The 1st TUM Innovation week was held in April 2019. According to Dr Michael Saulo, who is in charge of the Research Directorate, TUM actively supports partnerships, research, innovations and collaborations with industry, institutions, and government organizations, for the enhancement of social-economic wellbeing of local community and Kenya as a whole.

The conference themed "Unleashing Potential for Emerging Technologies for sustainable development" is in line with the Government of Kenya Big Four Agenda, to achieve its sustainable developmental agenda.
