EARIMA is a non-profit Association, with its Secretariat hosted at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. It was formed in 2011 and was registered in 2015. EARIMA inter alia focuses on setting up and strengthening regional Research and Innovation (R&I) management networks, where R&I managers can access information, share experiences and good practices, and benchmark their progress. EARIMA member countries are Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda. As part of its mission, EARIMA conducts Annual Conferences in its member countries.
