This event aims to bring together policy actors and researchers in sub-Saharan Africa who are interested in or already have a track record of undertaking policy-relevant research in Early Childhood Development and Foundational Learning. One of the objectives of this event is to: Discuss Early Childhood Development and Foundational Learning research themes and how these relate to African policies and development agendas at the national, regional, continental (e.g., African Union’s Agenda 2063, and the Continental Education Strategy for Africa 2016-25) and global (e.g., the Sustainable Development Goals) levels. This virtual edition is a prelude to an in-person event that is planned for early October in Kenya.
