EARIMA’s call for abstracts reopens after dates of the conference move from October to December

The 5th East African Research and Innovations Management Association (EARIMA) Annual Conference has been moved to 2nd-4th December 2019; earlier, it was scheduled to happen on the 22nd – 25th of October 2019. Additionally, the conference will now be held at the University of Nairobi as opposed to Kenyatta University where it was to take place. Kenya is the third country to host the regional conference after Uganda and Tanzania and the Kenyan Chapter is taking lead in organizing the conference.

Following this move, the call for abstracts, papers and special sessions to be presented at the conference has now been reopened. Interested professionals are encouraged to take advantage of the extension and submit their applications to the Local organizing committee (LOC). The move is as a result of technical and administrative reason according to the secretariat.

Also, the Secretariat confirmed that they have received some funding to host the conference and thus are now able to sponsor some members to the conference. Only accepted abstracts for presentation will be eligible for the sponsorship.

Notably, the registration fee for the conference has been reduced as follows; EARIMA paid-up members (US$100), EARIMA non-paid members (US $150), Non-EARIMA members ( US$100) and Students-with students ID (US$ 80).

The emphasis of this year’s meeting will be on Promoting Governance and Leadership of Research and Innovation Management for Sustainable Development. As part of the plan, the meeting will be preceded by a one-day training workshop on innovations and Research Management.

As part of its mission, EARIMA conducts annual conferences circulating in its member countries which include Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan and Uganda.
