Research Beeline to Host Virtual Session on Academia-Industry Partnership in Africa at the UNGA78 Science Summit



Research Beeline is set to host a significant virtual session titled "Academia-Industry Partnership: The Missing Link in Africa" during the ongoing 9th edition of the Science Summit at UNGA78. Scheduled for September 19, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this session aims to illuminate the current state of academia-industry collaboration in Africa, delve into the Triple Helix approach to research, technology, and innovation, and pinpoint the challenges hindering its growth in the region compared to other global counterparts.

The event will be led by Joseph Njogu, CEO of Research Beeline Ltd, and feature a distinguished panel of experts primarily from academia. Additionally, experts from regions where such partnerships have thrived will contribute their valuable insights.

Notable speakers include Ari Jacobvits, Managing Director of Africa Programs at MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives; Abraham Abebe Assefa, Dean of Business and Economics College at Assosa University, Ethiopia; Vincet Onywera, Deputy Vice Chancellor of KCA University, Kenya; and Wales Singini, Vice Chancellor of Mzuzu University, Malawi.
