Every year, AGU’s Annual Meeting convenes over 25,000 attendees from 100+ countries to share scientific findings and make connections. Researchers, scientists, educators, students, policymakers, exhibitors, journalists and communicators attend AGU’s Annual Meeting to better understand our planet and environment, and our role in preserving its future. It is a results-oriented gathering rooted in celebrating and advancing positive individual and collective outcomes.
AGU26 Theme: Where Science Connects.
At AGU25, we celebrated all the ways we connect. The purpose of what we connect, the power of how we connect, and that when we connect, there is strength. Science is the uniter we need. It is the hope for a better, more informed, more aligned, just world. It is what we activate year-round, and it is what we will continue to celebrate in San Francisco.
And to connect that theme to our creative strategy, we started with the core of AGU’s mission. The visuals are based on the conceptualization of the layers of the earth and atmosphere, and our 4 annual meeting scientific neighborhoods. These layers can meet, interact, and connect in a variety of ways to give us a versatile creative strategy that translates to all the various touchpoints of our annual meeting.
Connecting is key to expanding the global scientific enterprise. Whether it’s in person, across research collaborations, during mentoring and professional guidance, or through shared advocacy, creating connections is powerful – so powerful that we want to keep that energy going.
